Mommy's story part 17: My bro-in-law went back to Glasgow & Merdeka

My bro-in-law went back to Glasgow.It is sad to see my sister & baby yusuff stood there saying their goodbyes to Feizal (my sister's husband).This time i think it's not going to be long coz my sister is going back to Glasgow before the year ends...after Raya most probably.*sigh*...our house will not be the same without baby yusuff's shrieks and laughters.We are going to miss that a lot! especially my mom coz she's quite close with baby yusuff (taking care of baby yusuff most of the time).I'm going to miss my sis and baby yusuff too,but i know they have a lot of things ahead of them that needed to be settled.Let them do whatever that's needed to be done and hopefully in 2 or 3 years time they'll be able to settle everything there and come back to Malaysia for good.

Today 31/08/2009 MERDEKA!

I don't know about you but to me it seems like Merdeka this year is not so 'meriah'.Maybe because it falls during the fasting month.I don't know.I thought it is going to be a blast out there.I don't have the feeling to celebrate Merdeka at all...don't get me wrong,it is not because i hate merdeka eve's or it is a cliche to celebrate Merdeka,i do appreciate Merdeka and because of my condition and the condition of the road and situation out there make me feel that its best to celebrate it at home.You know what i did, i watched movies on youtube with my husband and when the clock struck 12 midnight,we were like...ohh its merdeka and look outside the window to see if there's any big fireworks out there.We heard people shouting merdeka and i don't know what else...adalah.It is quiet...so quiet that it makes me wonder,is it Merdeka?
Oh and the merdeka advertisement this time sucks big time! Since our PM emphasizes on 1 Malaysia, i think they should at least inject the spirits of 1 malaysia into this year merdeka advertisment.The merdeka ad that i saw is so cliche and BORING.If yasmin ahmad was still alive,i bet the ad will be superb and memorable.

Well,i finished Surah Yusuf today and i'm so glad.We did 'tahlil' for our late father.Usually i will read surah Yasin everyday for my late father...may Allah SWT bless his soul..Amin.
